As of this winter cereal season, Syngenta will include in its seed treatment products portfolio a biofungicide developed by Rizobacter and the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA).

Buenos Aires, March 18th. It’s probably that this is not a well-known datum, but 21% of the global inoculants market is held by an Argentine company, Rizobacter.

The company was founded in 1977 in Pergamino City, the heart of the Pampas, by a small group of entrepreneurs. One of them is Ricardo Yapur, current vice-president after Bioceres Group acquired 50.01% of the shares in 2016.

Rizobacter is one of the three biggest inoculant companies in the world. Today it is the top exporter of inoculants in Argentina and has 21% of the inoculants market worldwide, with an important growth tendency due to its decentralized offices. It has nine subsidiaries: France, Bolivia, India, Brazil, the USA, Paraguay, Colombia, Uruguay and South Africa, and through them it reaches presence in more than 35 countries.
